Would you go to another country to get a different kind of health care that might cure your disease?

I have a mild type of epilepsy. The seizures last maximum 5 seconds. I lose consciousness and I don't feel good when I wake up but it's still not something I can die from. Unless I fall down some stairs or wtv. Anyways, it can happen twice in 2 months or once in 8 months or once in 3 months, etc. It really varies but it doesn't happen often. It started when I was 16 and I am now 21.

My aunt lives in Russia and she heard about a special kind of doctor who really did heal diseases that modern medicine did not know how. He basically uses natural remedies. Also, I guess I believe in him because my aunt gave him a picture of me and he described my personality by looking at my eyes. He said things that no one could have guessed.

Now my mom wants to go there this summer for 1 month. The tickets are definitely not cheap! And we have no guarantee it will work and permanently stop the seizures. Also, 1 month is kinda long and I'm thinking I'm gonna get bored. My mom wants to visit the region and we know some people there so I won't be ONLY with my mom. But I still think I'll be bored. I'm 21 and a whole month without… clubbing, going out, having fun, is long. As I'm writing this, I'm thinking yeah, 1 month in a lifetime is not that long. It feels that way tho.

So would you go there or not?

Don't you think I would be interesting to check out other cultures and environments? My father always said that there is no replacement for experience from traveling.
If it's "natural" it won't hurt… It's worth a try!
Besides, it's possible you could meet some Russians about your age that speak english (more common then americans that speak russian), and they could take you out clubbing in russia!

Should a mother have rights to not allow proper chemotherapy for her son?

I heard a story about a mother who insisted on practicing natural health remedies to try and help cure her son with cancer instead of using chemotherapy. The mother ran away with her son in order to use the natural cures that she really thought would cure her son. She was eventually caught and punished. What do you think about the situation? Do you side with the mother or with the law?

I don't consider children property of parents. I side with the society who protects the rights of the child from the parents.

If the child dies, manslaughter, negligence and murder would all be charges that I would vote for on her jury.

PMS is ruining my life! Help…natural remedies or cures?

I just feel like life can't go on when I have my 2 weeks of PMS. It's not even the physical that I can't deal with..it's these feelings of craziness and depression..I just want to burst into tears.

I don't want to take medicine because I think that's what has messed me up so much already..and birth control isn't an option because it makes me feel like I am PMSing times ten…I feel like suicidal on it.

Have any of you women tried natural remedies that worked? I keep hearing about apple cider vinegar and different stuff. I don't have health insurance and I am praying there is someone..just ONE woman out there..that can tell me a natural cure..or at least something that helps a bit because I just feel SO low about myself during this time of the month………..my bf doesn't completely understand but he does try. He thinks sometimes that it's just in my mind and that I just have to pray and try to think happy thoughts..and then I flip on him and curse him out and tell him that it's not like that..and I feel bad for doing it afterwards because he has no idea.

you should just take a long nap, drink some herbal tea, and take a long hot shower/bath. you will be more relaxed and less tense.

what are good natural cures for parasites..since 95% of Americans have, I assume I am one of hem.?

please tell me herbs, alternative health suggestions, websites, etc.
no–I don't know that I have anything–certainly nothing visible like pin worms, but people who do intestinal cleanses often pass all kinds of ungodly worms and all types of things..protozoa etc. Once lived next to canbodian refugees who I took to doctors and they had multiples types of dangerous parasites..my son caught one and took over a year oget rid of it..don't know if I caugfht anything–just want to try to flush them if I do.

Are you referring to worms, go to the chemist for a good dose of medicine.

Eat garlic, vinegars, and chilly.

How do I venture into a career that involves holistic health sciences.?

I would like to work in a laboratory, or observe & study natural medicines to possible future cures.
Please help with directing schools or well-known institutes.

Don’t do it man. They just want to take your money. I studied on my own and can prescribe and heal if I want to. So can everyone else. Why charge for it. They play it very well. When I tell a Naturopathic Doctor their herb doesn’t work on me they tell me I don’t believe and respect it enough. But, if I use the word “placebo” they slap me like a little girl. The body heals itself. Myself and the rest of the baby boomers are about done with natural healing and have moved on to other trends. Dude, have some trust in yourself. Live your life on purpose. Jerry’s dead man. Time to wake up. Thank you for letting me share. I sure wasted my resources.

Treating Pimples - Cheap And Natural Treatments Tips And Tricks

Natural treatment methods are cheaper and always a better choice for acne due to less exposure to drugs and chemical-laden acne products. Living with acne can be very difficult, and even more difficult to find just the right acne treatment for you. Consider cheaper, alternative, natural, effective treatment methods to get the best cure for your acne, zit, pimple or blackhead problem.

Acne rosacea is a red rash predominantly on the face. The most common type of acne is acne vulgaris. Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne. For most people, acne goes away by age 30, but people in their forties and fifties still suffer from acne.

The liver gets rid of toxins from bad food, drugs and chemicals and sends them through the skin resulting in eruptions, acne, pimples and other skin disorders. The cause of acne is unknown and there is still much to be learned. New studies show that during times of high emotional stress, such as during exam time in high school, there are more acne breakouts; so are stress hormones the culprits?

Some natural home remedies include dabbing on non-gel toothpaste or lemon juice to dry out zits. Acne and its treatment is one of the most misunderstood topics there is when it comes to acne skin care. If you're going to buy acne products, it's much more worth your while to buy acne-treating products that work against current pimples and prevent the occurrence of new ones.

No over-the-counter creams can help your acne from the inside out; they can only kill some of the bacteria on your face and help reduce the redness. Too many chemicals can strip your skin of its natural oils and the skin will overproduce oil to compensate for it, blocking your pores and causing more acne. If you wear make-up choose it carefully; it should be oil free.

For the best acne treatment, which has worked for many, apply virgin coconut oil to the area daily; try it on a small test area for a day or two first. Try relaxation techniques to reduce stress, including meditation and yoga breathing exercises. When you wash your face use a soft touch, taking care not to rub or scrub your skin.

It bears repeating, you want to be good to your skin and never pop or squeeze a pimple no matter how tempting. It's easy to treat acne cheaply, simply, naturally, yet effectively, at home. The treatment plan for acne includes trying to heal the pimples, stopping new pimples from forming, preventing scarring and helping reduce embarrassment.

Never underestimate the healing, restorative power of a good night's sleep. Use baking soda on a test area carefully for exfoliation, if you feel you need it.

In any case, no matter what skin or acne treatment you choose, whether it's chemical, drugs, alternative, or natural methods, changing your diet alone will be the best treatment you can do for your acne and you'll achieve overall good health in the process. When you change your diet, your lesions should start getting better within a week or two, with significant improvement the first month. When your liver gets overloaded with toxins it'll send the toxins out through your skin as well as other organs of elimination.

Whether you eat a natural diet of living fruits and vegetables or eat dead junk food, what you eat may have a direct or indirect affect on the male hormones which may or may not play some part in acne. People with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation; if you are, make sure you're drinking lots of water every day and add more natural fiber from raw fruits to your diet.

Use olive oil with a little very fresh flaxseed oil in your salads. Concentrating on a diet, of mostly fruits and vegetables (preferably uncooked), and no junk food, should give you an observable improvement in your skin within 30 days. Drink freshly extracted carrot juice, if you can, every day; carrot juice is an excellent cleanser for the liver, great for the skin and contains tons of nutrients, all beneficial for acne.

Eating fruits that are red or orange in color will help improve you skin health and help to prevent acne. For an easy fiber boost, mix in two tablespoons of ground up flaxseeds into raw applesauce, from two to three apples, made in your food processor.

With cheap, safe, simple, natural, effective, alternative home treatments for acne and pimples, your skin should be well on its way to recovery. In any case, try not to panic about your acne and take it day by day. You should see the results of your cheap acne home treatment remedies, with improved skin, within just a few days.

Did psychiatric drugs help you or not? Any natural remedies really work? (Depression & Anxiety)?

I suffer from clinical depression and anxiety, but I see a lot of people at mental health clinics taking chemical cocktails and

I know some people have drastic improvements and some people have minor but significant improvements.
But I know a lot of people that seem to get more messed up on these drugs and can't ever get off them. I have even heard a shrink say she wouldn't put her own kids on it, because we really don't know the long-term effects. And FDA lets them the big-time drug companies hook people, because they pay FDA kickbacks. And government lets FDA get away with this because FDA gives government kickbacks.

IF YOU HAVE TAKEN MEDICATION for clinical depression or anxiety, has it helped you. Also if you have taken for a number of years, has this adversely effected you?

*And if anybody has any natural cures that have really worked, please let me know.

Have you seen this video? What do you think? It's about toxic psychiatry.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b30iwhEw9h
Don't know why link above didn't work, here it is again:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b30iwhEw9ho

"Dea Y" - true, good company is so important!

"Firefly" - Yeah, my diet is crap, sugar, carbs, fat and caffeie. I will look into those diets!

It helped "Rustybones" but "Sabine E" right on! I wonder though, for severe depression/anxiety, therapy doesn't always help.

Thanks everyone so far!

Try a raw food diet. I have seen it work wonders. Or the makers diet. Look them both up. And it is far better for you body than medications.
What you eat can dramatically affect your moods and cause depression and anxiety as well as many other problems. And If your relying on things like caffiene it will only make your depression worse.
